Hi, I’m Jenna, the photographer and creative behind Black Spade Creative.

For me, photography has never been about simply taking pretty pictures. It's about capturing the people as they really are. The genuine smiles, the belly laughs, the quiet moments, the chaos, and all of the little details you don't realize you've missed until they've changed. 

Over the years, I've had the privilege of photographing everything from families and seniors to weddings, events, sports and some of life's biggest milestones. No matter what brings you in front of my camer, my goal is always the same: to create an experience where you can relax, be yourself, and walk away with photographs that actually feel like you.

I'm based in Southern Illinois, but I'm always willing to travel when a story takes me somewhere new. I've invested years into learning and growing as a photographer, and I'm constantly pushing myself creatively but I also believe your session should be fun. You don't need to worry how to pose or worry about what to do with your hands. That's my job.

Outside of photography, I'm a mom to my daughter, Ella, an animal lover with a house full of four-legged personalities, and someone currently embracing a brand-new chapter of life. If I'm not behind the camera, there's a good chance I'm working on another creative project, hanging out with my family and friends or documenting the beautifully chaotic parts of everyday life.
